Role and Responsibilities

  • Implement multilingual support on the site using Middleman I18n, with English as the default language.
  • Translations will be managed through locales/lang.yml files.
  • Ensure the translation of the homepage (including the header and footer), blog index, privacy policy, cookies, and terms pages.
  • Enable pagination support on the blog index page for all languages.
  • The blog detail pages will remain in English only, and tags will not be translated.
  • When users access the blog detail or tags page in a different language, they will see a translated header and footer.
  • Maintain the integrity of the blog ' s markdown system during the process.
  • Update dependencies (gems and npm packages) in a complex Rails project without causing issues.
